Your data.
Clearly explained.

Privacy policy for this website and for contacting mesot websolutions.

Controller & contact

The controller for the processing described here is mesot websolutions, Philippe Mesot, Alte Aescherstrasse 35, CH-5615 Fahrwangen AG, Switzerland. Please send questions and privacy requests to philippe@mesot.net.

Full contact details are also available in the Legal notice.

Scope

This privacy policy covers mesot.net and contact with Philippe Mesot. Website hosting and email are provided by hosttech.

Project-related applications and services such as DISPOSITIO and ADMIDIO are presented here. Their actual use requires separate descriptions of the relevant processing and responsibilities.

Website access & hosting

When a website is accessed, technical information including the IP address, time, requested address and browser information is transmitted to the hosting infrastructure. This data is used to provide the pages and may be needed to identify faults or misuse.

Hosting for mesot.net is provided by hosttech GmbH, Seestrasse 15a, 8805 Richterswil, Switzerland. As the hosting provider, hosttech processes the technical data required to deliver and operate the website. Further information is available in the hosttech privacy policy.

Contact by email

When you contact us by email, your sender address, the contact details you provide, your message and any attachments are processed. This is used to answer your enquiry, prepare or fulfil an engagement and maintain necessary records.

The contact links open your own email application. A message is sent only when you send it yourself. This version of the website has no contact form and does not transmit a completed enquiry to mesot websolutions simply because a link is clicked.

Email services are also provided by hosttech GmbH in Richterswil, Switzerland. This involves processing the message data needed to receive, store and send emails.

Please send particularly confidential information only after an appropriate transmission method has been agreed.

Cookies, media & analytics

Your choice

Google Analytics is loaded only after you select “Allow analytics”. Selecting “Necessary functions only” keeps analytics switched off. You can use in the footer to change or withdraw your choice at any time. When you withdraw consent, further measurement stops, the Analytics cookies set by this integration are deleted, and a page that was already measuring is reloaded. Withdrawal applies to future processing.

Your choice is stored locally in your browser for up to one hundred and eighty days. If persistent storage is unavailable, session storage is used where possible. If neither is available, your choice applies only to the current page. You will be asked again when the choice expires or is deleted.

Google Analytics

After consent, we use Google Analytics to analyse page views, website use and clicks on email contact links. A click does not mean an enquiry has been sent. Data processed may include browser and device information, timestamps, sessions, the page visited and an identifier assigned through cookies. Google technically receives your IP address when a connection is established. The page address configured by us contains neither query parameters nor a page fragment; only the origin of the referring website is supplied. Our additional contact event contains neither the email address nor message text.

The cookies _ga and _ga_CZ5RSQDC7X are set on this host for up to one hundred and eighty days; this period is not continually extended on subsequent visits. Google Signals and personalised advertising are disabled in this integration. Consent applies only to analytics; advertising consent signals remain denied.

Under the Google Analytics terms of service, the provider is Google Ireland Limited, Ireland. Processing by affiliated companies, including Google LLC in the United States, is possible. Further information is available in How Google uses data from partner sites and the Google privacy policy.

Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is also integrated and is loaded independently of your analytics choice. This establishes a connection to Google and technically transmits your IP address in particular. The integration also connects to Google when JavaScript is disabled. The container checked at publication contains no additional analytics or advertising tags. Analytics is included once by the website, and only after consent. More information: Google Tag Manager: data privacy and security.

Media and other functions

These pages contain no newsletter sign-up form. The menu sets neither cookies nor persistent browser entries. The logo, portrait and intro film are served with the website. No external font services or video platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo are embedded. The film starts when you choose to play it.

When you open external links, the respective providers' privacy information also applies.

Service providers & international processing

For operating mesot.net and email communication, hosttech GmbH receives the personal data needed to provide its services. Google receives technical data when Tag Manager is loaded and, after consent, the Analytics data described above. Processing in Ireland, the United States and other countries is possible.

The hosting and email provider is based in Switzerland. Any further required disclosure depends on the relevant purpose and statutory provisions, for example a binding order from a public authority.

Retention & security

Personal data should be retained only for as long as necessary for the stated purposes or to meet legal obligations. Relevant records may be needed for longer to resolve claims. Data is then deleted or anonymised unless another legal obligation prevents this.

Protecting data requires technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, such as restricted access and secure transmission methods.

Your rights

Under applicable data protection law, you may in particular request access to your personal data and correction of inaccurate information. Depending on the circumstances, further rights may include deletion, cessation of processing, data release or portability. Legal obligations and the rights of others may limit a request.

You may withdraw consent with effect for the future. To make a request, contact philippe@mesot.net. An appropriate identity check may be required to handle your request.

You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner. Where European data protection law applies in a particular case, the additional rights and competent supervisory authorities under that law remain unaffected.

Changes

This policy is updated when the services offered or the actual processing of data change.
